Homestays refer to the small-scale local accommodation facilities provided by local residents to tourists.
Up to now, there are more than 1,700 registered homestays in Ningbo, with more than 32,000 beds. Last year, the city's homestays received a total of 7.0535 million tourists, achieved an operating income of 1.258 billion yuan, and drove 80,000 rural employees.
"We have a total of 5 rooms, and all the houses during the National Day have been booked out." On September 20, Yu Libo, the person in charge of Tuoye B&B on Meiling Mountain, Hengxi Town, Yinzhou District, told reporters.
Yu Libo said that she resigned from her job in 2016 and converted the old school building into a homestay. From drawings, design, and decoration, she completed the transformation step by step.
"The homestay has grown up like its own child bit by bit, and has received attention and praise from many guests, and the number of repeat customers is increasing. I hope more guests can feel the most relaxed state of life in the homestay, "Yu Libo said.
